That Was Easy

At my Goodwill stop today, Robin brought out another patch of goodies for everyone to the area where she lets everyone pick through it.........hoping that everyone will buy the stuff so she doesn't have to put it away.    She is one of the friendliest  Goodwill employees I have run into and we have become friends.

As I was grabbing for the graphic and art pencil sets as I spotted them while she was wheeling the cart out, she came up to me and punched this item and said, it really is that Easy.   I looked up and saw the Staples Easy Button and got to laughing and before we knew it, we had a crowd.    So of course I had to buy it.

It was funny but the other day when I saw the advertisement that I thought it would be a lot of fun to have that Easy Button.............well my wish was granted for a mere 80 cents today.......you just had to be there to see how funny it all went down.   The boss came out, whose name is Brian, and was teasing with Robin and said, "Don't you know, it is against the rules to have fun at work" and then smiled, laughed and left.  He is a great guy.    He looked at me and said, "oh no, you got the button".........   We are also on a first name basis.......funny story to that happening too.
Sorry, I haven't posted in awhile..........haven't created anything in a long time.   Sometimes, life happens and there are more important things to focus on..........I can't imagine, in my world, what that would be but it does.   Have a great day and I hope to post soon.

  1. Hey, you know what, that's ok! Here I am stressing out for no apparent reason, about not posting or creating anything since I've been sick, but you know, life does happen, and so what. We'll get around to it eventually. I know how you feel, though. I think it was a wake up call for me to get my priorities in line. But I do miss creating! Love the easy button, would be nice if art stuff came that easy, eh?

  2. Oh my gosh did you see the post I did recently too? We have thought the easy button was very funny around here. Hope you having a great week!

  3. I have missed your art posts, and hope to see some again soon. But, life, being life, will always get in the way of intentions.
You know, Nancy, you are my hero when it comes to rooting out the great bargains and art finds.
I loved hearing about your Goodwill trip. Wish there were such cool places here. Either NYers don't donate their cool stuff, or they're so blase, they just toss it!
    Take care, my friend.

  4. I know you are busy with LIFE!!!that's ok! We all have days and weeks when it takes too much energy to even think of the computer.
I do so enjoy your trips to the Goodwill! you know I live vicariously through my friends adventures! Much love and mannnny hugs, nancymayer

  5. Hope all's well with you, Nanc! I have missed you writing here - mostly 'cause I'm so far behind with reading others' blogs as well as writing on my own. Life does indeed happen.

I love your Goodwill stories - and finds! I think I need lessons ... ;o)
