This is a pretty simple necklace I made with a polymer clay pendant. I made a mold out of polymer clay of one of my metal findings I have. I like the colors a lot in this piece. When I made that pendant, I made several others in different styles so I guess I had better get busy making some more pieces. Maybe I will make some of them in embellishments for other things.

I am a mixed media artist and dabble in all kinds of art. The most important thing to know is that I am a big thrift store, swap meet, bargain hunter for art supplies and will definitely be telling about it on my blog. Back in 1994 my Mom got me into rubber stamping but I quickly went from that to decorating papers, making journals, working with acrylic paints, doing found object jewelry and altered art. My creative life really changed after attending art retreats like ArtFest, Art and Soul and Art Unraveled. I now do a little of everything.
This was my favorite doll who had red hair just like my Mom so I named her Juanita. This will date me but this picture was taken around 1950. I am sitting at the front of the home that my father built in Canby, Oregon. I still have her to this day and she still looks as good as new. I think everyone was really shocked that she stayed in such good condition as I don't think I was that careful with other toys. Lots of special memories since my Mom is gone now.
