Altered Lunch Box

This piece was done a few years ago at ArtFest in three separate classes taught by Ramona and Tom Ashman. It had an Ocean theme so I did this in memory of my Mom and Dad who lived by the ocean in their retirement years. One class was for the lunch box itself, one for the bracelet and one for the glass journal. The legs which you really can't see are made of copper tubing. By the way, the picture was probably taken in 1944 or 1945.

  1. Nanc, I have to tell you I don't care for most altered art, but I love this lunch box, bracelet and photo album. I like how you do things. I am going to follow you and bookmark your blog, I want to see more of your stuff

  2. Nancy! I just love your lunchbox shrine. I have a pic of my parents, same time, Army uniform & have an old jewelry box that needs a facelift. BINGO! And I have my mom's engagement pin...Something could happen in the messiest rubber room on this side of the Rockies.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas.

  3. Just a note to let you know I have entered you in the draw for the OWOH blog celebration. I just love the name of your blog..that sure hit home. I guess we are a lot alike...I would have to add "I doubt I will ever use up all that stuff"--rofl.No kidding. And, I keep adding. I would laugh so hard if the random number picker selected your name :)). I have joined your followers list as well and look forward to seeing how you keep organizing it, and keep using it. Your art pieces are totally awesome! I thought it was so funny when I saw your wagon-full! I keep running out of space and I have so much space to use as we are empty nesters. Such fun, isn't it?? Hugs, Gayle (in Canada).
